Simon Cunich

Simon Cunich is an award winning Canberra-based documentary filmmaker. He graduated from the Australian Film Television and Radio School in 2011 and the same year his debut one-hour documentary Growing Change won the Shark Island Documentary Foundation Award for Best Social Impact Documentary. In 2013 Simon directed Stumbling in Hillary's Footsteps, a half-hour documentary for the ABC about a circus troupe touring through the Himalayas of Nepal. His documentary web series about 100-year-old dancer Eileen Kramer was shortlisted for a United Nations Association Media Award. In 2015 he was a Visiting Fellow at the University of Canberra's Documentary Lab.
