FINAL INSULT is a challenging film about people with Multiple Chemical Sensitivities - a powerful exploration of the human reaction to the accumulated chemical pollutants in our environment.

The film tells the story of Diana, Michael, Eve and Julie who all have one thing in common: they suffer from MCS (Multiple Chemical Sensitivity), a newly recognised environmental illness with profound implications for anyone concerned about their health and the health of their children.

"What chemical sensitivity tells us is that anybody can be vulnerable to chronic exposures of ambient doses of chemicals that are known to harm people. They are vulnerable, our children are vulnerable and they can be made chronically ill." - Dr William Rea.

"These people are not so different from the rest of us. They are just the early responders, they are the canaries, they are the people who are highly reactive to something that not too far down the line we'll all be finding problems with." - Dr Mark Donohoe.

"There is probably in the order of 30% to 50% of chronic illness that requires repetitive visits to the doctor that's associated with environmental problems." - Jeffery Bland PhD.

"We have had patients who have travelled to Alaska, to a place where they feel safe. They end up on a mountain somewhere to be away from civilisation, from car exhaust, from everything, so they become hermits." - Dr Gunner Heuser.
