Wendy Chandler

WENDY CHANDLER is a filmmaker who has worked in drama and documentary and animation. Wendy has written and directed a range of film projects, including Union Street, Vengeance, The Summer of 77, One of the Lucky Ones and Heirlooms, which have screened at international film festivals and won numerous awards, including two Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) Awards. She has worked extensively in Timor-Leste teaching and producing screen media in collaboration with two Timorese organisations, Casa de Produção Audiovisual and Dili Film Works. She produced the collaborative project Mobile Stories. Launched at the Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre 2022, Mobile Stories is an interactive online documentary and photography exhibition investigating the lives of university students in Timor-Leste and Western Sydney. Wendy is a senior lecturer in screen media at Western Sydney University.
