Ben Starr

Broadcasting is Ben's passion. Through a chance meeting at Vatican Radio in Rome in 2009 the foundations were laid for the E.LE.T.T.R.A documentary. Little did Ben know but his passion for broadcasting would bring him face to face with Marconi's Legacy and a chance meeting with the father of radio's only remaining daughter Princess Elettra Marconi.
Through our his career Ben has worked for some of Australia's leading radio networks including Macquarie Radio Network as anannouncer & producer and the Australian Radio Network.
Moving between radio and teaching is something that Ben enjoys and 2015 marks his 15th year teaching for the Department of Education and Training as a Teacher of Media (Radio Broadcasting) at TAFE - Sydney Institute where he oversee media training and delivery at Sydney TAFE Radio (STR) a simulated LIVE radio station he created for the benefit of his students educational training requirements to learn the art and science of broadcasting.
Ben is a Director of Radio Australasia specialising in boutique media programming solutions for radio and television including the implementation, creation and development of niche internet radio stations, podcasting and commercial syndicated radio formats.
He is a member of the board of the Australasia Sound and Recording Archive and has interviewed celebrities including Johnny Mathis, Petula Clark, Andy Williams and Shirley Jones.
Ben wrote and produced a syndicated radio show called The Ballroom Glitz a radio show and hosted the Drive show on The Music of Your Life Radio Network across America for three years.
Ben currently presents The Conversation Arena a radio / television program focusing on Talk for a new generation.
