SOLRUN HOAAS FILM FUND WINNERS ANNOUNCED

The winners of the Solrun Hoaas fund, designed to support Australian women who are working on Asian subjects, have been announced.

The awards have been made with funding from the estate of the late Australian film-maker Solrun Hoaas. Solrun Hoaas directed in her will that she wished to make a bequest for either the development or post-production stages of projects directed by Australian women on Asia-related subjects. The sum of $80,000 was left for this purpose.

The successful applicants include:

ANNA BROINOWSKI for development of Aim High in Creation!
A feature documentary about the singular, fascinating and unexplored Cinema of North Korea.
