Sally Ingleton

Sally is a partner in the new Australian company 360 Degree Films. As well as doing stints as a film bureaucrat and teacher she has been producing and directing award-winning documentaries for the past 20 years with her company Singing Nomads Productions. Specialising in science, arts, history and social issues Sally has made programs for BBC, Channel 4, Discovery, ABCTV, SBSTV, and NHK.

Just completed is the science adventure documentary Seed Hunter (ABCTV, ARTE France, SVT Sweden, RTE Ireland).

In 2007 Sally produced 2 Mums and a Dad (SBS) which won Best Documentary at the Sydney Film Festival Dendy Awards and Best Documentary at the Australian Teachers of Media Awards.

In 2006 Sally produced Welcome 2 My Deaf World (SBS) that was nominated for Best Documentary at both the Australian Film Institute and Australian Teacher's of Media Awards.

In 2002 Muddy Waters: Life and Death on the Great Barrier Reef (SBS) picked up several international science/environment awards and in 1997 Mao's New Suit (Ch4/SBS), filmed in China, won Best Documentary at the Chicago Windy City Documentary Festival as well as being nominated for Best Documentary at the Dendy Awards Sydney Film festival.

Currently in post-production are the one-hour documentaries Community Cop (Screen Australia, SBS) and Murder in the Snow (ABC, BBC, YLE, RTBF, TSR).

Sally has travelled extensively throughout India, China, Tibet and Nepal and run documentary film workshops in China and Korea.
