Liam Campbell

Liam has lived in Yuendumu for over a decade. During that time, he has worked for a range of Aboriginal organisations and established strong relationships within the Warlpiri community.
Liam holds a PhD in Australian Indigenous Studies and brought a range of creative skills to this project and has worked on a variety of projects for Warlpiri Media in the past, including film and website production, design and writing.

Liam has been learning the Warlpiri language for the many years and has produced an extensive life story of Darby Jampijinpa Ross and the Warlpiri people entitled DARBY: ONE HUNDRED YEARS OF LIFE IN A CHANGING CULTURE, published by ABC Books in 2006. ABORIGINAL RULES is Liam's first film as director.
