Samantha Kelley

Samantha has been involved in the film and television industry since 1983. Whilst working with Richard Oxenburgh Productions in Perth, Samantha worked her way up from office manager and facilities manager to become production manager on a large number of corporate videos and documentaries. Between 1987 and 1993, Samantha worked in a variety of roles on several high profile television documentary specials. She was also given the opportunity to branch into drama as assistant to the producer on an AFI-nominated telefeature and gained experience as a producer on several corporate videos.

In 1994 Samantha founded MASK Productions with her husband Mathew Kelley. Since then she has produced television documentaries The Last of the Nomads (winner of a Gold Medal in the New York Festivals and nominated as Best Television Documentary at the AFI Awards); Secret Fleets, shown on the ABC and Discovery USA; Big Brother of Christmas Island with Film Australia for the ABC; and the series Fearless – Stories From Asian Women for Film Australia and SBS Independent (Best Documentary finalist at Hollywood Film Festival).
