Graduate of Trinity College, Dublin and the Whitney Museum Independent Study Program, New York. Established the National Famine Museum, Strokestown, County Roscommon, in 1994; Head of the Irish Film Archive, Dublin (1996-1999); since 2002, working with the Guardian Media Group, London on a variety of projects .
