Restoration Project for feature film, AYA

Announcing a new project for Ronin Films: the 4K restoration (from original 35mm negs) of AYA, the 1990 feature written and directed by the late Solrun Hoaas, her first and only feature film. The story of a Japanese war bride migrating with her husband, an Australian serviceman, to make a new home in Australia.
Starring Eri Ishida, Nicholas Eadie and Chris Haywood. Produced by Denise Patience and Solrun Hoaas, superb cinematography by Geoff Burton, and edited by Stewart Young.
Restoration will be handled in Canberra by Peter Richards of Fixafilm and editor and colourist, James Lane.
